Welcome to Tots to Bottom! We live & practice throughout New York, from Kingston, all the way out to Long Island. With over 15+years experience between us we have a comprehensive approach to pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and infant care.
We aim to educate parents and caregivers on the most up to date recommendations and guidelines from an evidence based medical approach in order to prepare you for childbirth & parenthood, including all the difficult decisions that come along the way. We understand the anxieties that come with bringing a new human being into the world and aim to ease those anxieties through our teachings.
Michelle Crafton, RN, BSN, RNC-MNN, IBCLC
Michelle Crafton graduated form The Rory Meyers School of Nursing at New York University in 2010. She is a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Nurse, certified in Maternal-Newborn nursing. She has extensive experience in mother-baby care and has worked for over 7 years in OB bedside inpatient units. Her first job in OB was at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center. A majority of her time is spent in Postpartum, with experience in Antepartum, NICU, and Labor and Delivery. Michelle has recently completed the DONA Postpartum Doula and Lamaze Childbirth Educator training. She is currently working at Mt Sinai, as a Postpartum nurse and at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center., as a Lactation Consultant with some experience at Brooklyn Hospital and Kingston Hospital as a Postpartum Nurse. Michelle's goal is to use her wealth of knowledge and experience to empower, prepare and mostly help mother's/partners enjoy every moment of their experience in childbirth and lactation. She is a self-professed OB Nurse, for life!
Erin Kelly, MS, PA-C, Certified CPR Instructor
Erin earned her first Bachelor of Science at Boston University, majoring in Clinical Exercise Physiology. During her time in Boston her focus was on exercise science and worked in non-invasive cardiology at one of Harvard's medical hospitals, Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. In 2005, she moved to Brooklyn, NY to pursue her second Bachelor's degree and a Masters of Science both in Physician Assistant Studies. She completed her master's thesis on Health Literacy, which was presented at the 2009 National Commission on Certified Physician Assistants (NCCPA) annual conference. Upon graduation, she accepted her first physician assistant position at what is now Northwell Health - Staten Island University Hospital as an in-patient pediatric physician assistant (PA). In 2011, she completed her first medical mission to Colombia through Healing the Children. After several years, she transitioned to a position at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center. Since then, she has devoted her practice to in-patient pediatrics. In 2014, she was awarded the Weill Cornell Medical Hospital Physician Assistant of the year. With almost 10 years experience as an in-patient pediatric PA, she has worked in almost every area of pediatric medicine, including general in-patient pediatrics, pediatric intensive care (PICU), well baby nursery, and neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room.
She is nationally certified as a Physician Assistant and maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Cardiac Live Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AHA Basic Life Support Instructor certifications.
Today, she remains devoted to pediatric medicine, both in NYC and to preparing parents for their exciting transition into parenthood.
